New Name, New Owner…Same Great “Work Away From Home” Option for Locals
MAPLEWOOD, NJ (October 1, 2024) – A longtime Maplewood, NJ resident and business owner, Mark Carelli, is thrilled to announce the debut of Maplewood Cowork inside his Maplewood Lofts building at 1585 Springfield Avenue.
The popular coworking space, formerly called Your Third Base-Maplewood, was originally built in 2023 by Carelli. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the business as the principal of Mark S. Carelli Architect LLC, where he has specialized in office space planning among other industries.
“I’ve been involved with this coworking space since its inception, so it’s a natural extension to become the managing owner,” says Carelli. “It’s a beautiful space filled with impressive technology and a wonderful community of locals who enjoy working in a professional setting.”
Indeed, residents from the area who had been working from home have really enjoyed working away from home, but not too far away. This boutique workspace has been a welcome addition to the commuter town now that commuting to the city is not a daily endeavor for many.
Carelli adds that most of the amenities and offerings from the original coworking space will remain intact, as will the community manager.
“I’m still here,” says Nancy Donoghue, who has been the community manager since the space opened in June 2023. “I’ve been in close contact with Mark Carelli all along. I look forward to working alongside him now as we seamlessly continue operations and implement a few changes and enhancements at the rebranded facility.”
According to Donoghue, it’s mostly business as usual.

The coworking space still offers the following membership types to accommodate all workplace needs:
